Quick Friday blog to formally announce our 2019 sponsorship agreement with the Improved Racing Association of WA thanks to P1 Advanced Racewear Australia.
Straight out the box let me clear this up this is a BIG thing for our local race series – I don’t know of many if not any other local state level circuit based category that has a sponsorship agreement in place backed by an international Motorsport Brand.
This deal has been cooking for over 6 months, we wanted to branch out and support more Motorsport – we race in the combined Street Car/ Sports Sedan Category and have built and Excel for use in the Excel Cup series but were not sure where to go next. Enter our high-end race supplier P1 Racewear’s Michael Nairn, Mike has been a great coach for us helping grow the Luxe Performance business to carry higher end race wear and after some messaged back and forth Mike had a unique idea for us to run with which will see a IPRAWA competitor get the chance to get into a Custom Italian Made P1 Suit.
Talking to a few local racers about where to go with it we settled on working with the IPRAWA guys – WA race legend Geoff Duckworth and Local drifter Tom Melling were instrumental in setting up the conversation kicking this off.
IPRAWA Secretary/Treasurer Anette Melling worked the bumps out and locked it all down really couldn’t be happier with the communication from IPRAWA guys and the professionalism they have shown.
Glens VF Commodore is the first of the IPRAWA cars running the new P1 Stickers during this week’s/weekends racing at Mount Panorama, as part of the Bathurst 12 hour.
I wish the Team at Bathurst all the best this weekend, and really look forward to watching the IPRAWA racing this year and seeing the full category don the P1 logos .
